The Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey last June 18, 2024 received in audience at his cabinet in Yaounde the Deputy Secretary of the German Embassy, Dr Valentin Katzer who has come to the end of his mandate in Cameroon after spending four years as Head of Cooperation.
Speaking to reporters after the close to 3 hours closed door audience, the Deputy Secretary of the German Embassy in Cameroon, Dr Valentin Katzer said “I came here to say good bye to the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey and his team for the excellent cooperation we have had for 4 years now. We managed to progress and advanced our cooperation and several visits throughout the country. I had the opportunity to see what we have done together, achieved and I hope this excellent relationship will go on even after my departure from Cameroon so that Germany and Cameroon can work together closely as partners for Cameroon to attain its goals in the National Development Strategy 2020-2030.”
Both Minister Alamine Ousmane Mey and Dr Valentin Katzer revisited the cooperation ties between Germany and Cameroon, describing it as excellent. They agreed that the future remains brighter for both countries.
