GTHS Bimbia flys high in 2025 GCE examinations Pioneer upper sixth batch scores 83.33%, with 100% recorded at  intermediate level

Students, teaching staff and the administration of Government Technical High School, GTHS Bimbia, are in high spirits, following the school’s brilliant performance in the 2025 public examinations, organised by the Cameroon GCE board.

Released on Friday, August 1, 2025, applause remains high, as the pioneer Upper Sixth batch of GTHS Bimbia scored an 83.33% success, having 10 out of the 12 candidates who sat for the exams emerging successful. Recall that this is the batch which started the institution some seven years ago, under the guidance of assiduous strong man, Isume Mbua Williams.

More joyful, was the Intermediate level, which recorded a 100% success rate, where all 58 students who sat for the exams, passed.

The teachers, like parents have continued to rejoice at the immense success recorded this year.

Taking to the school platform, one of the staff, by name Nanje Didi Ashu reacted that, “It is with immense joy and admiration that I extend heartfelt congratulations to you, Pahh Princi, for the outstanding 2025 GCE results achieved under your leadership. Your tireless commitment, unwavering vision, and belief in academic excellence have truly paid off. GTHS Bimbia’s stellar performance is a reflection not only of your remarkable stewardship, but also of the inspired teamwork, rigorous discipline, and supportive learning environment you’ve cultivated at the school. This achievement is a beacon of hope and pride for our community. You have reminded us all that with determination and collaborative effort, excellence is not just a goal—it’s a guarantee.”

GTHS Bimbia has since creation been on an upward excellence tract, with the double success this year, a pointer to the future strides the institution programmes to attain within the technical education sphere in Cameroon. Offering skills in various departments including such as Accounting, Civil Engineering, Electronics, Agriculture, Mechanics, Tailoring, Home Economics etc, the school is no doubt the future premise of higher technical education in Cameroon.

The Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova Lyonga has also stayed close, fostering the merits of intelligent classrooms and other modern education aspects.

Nonetheless, amongst other hardships, GTHS Bimbia is in dire need of classrooms, workshops and the need for parents to acquire adequate learning tools for the students.

From a general perspective, the 2025 GCE exams recorded an overall increase in the percentage pass level by 14.66% (75.46% in 2025, against 60.80% in 2024).
