Cameroon and Türkiye took a further step in strengthening economic cooperation in the electrical and electronics sector at a high-level Business-to-Business (B2B) forum in Douala. The event brought together government officials, business leaders, manufacturers, and exporters from both countries to focus on structured business dialogue, industrial partnerships, and trade outcomes aligned with Cameroon’s development priorities and Türkiye’s export strengths.

The Cameroon-Türkiye B2B Forum was designed to connect Turkish manufacturers and exporters in the electrical and electronics industries with decision-makers from Cameroon’s public and private sectors. The forum aimed to foster industrial cooperation and support trade initiatives to help meet Cameroon’s growing demand for reliable energy, modern infrastructure, and local value addition.
Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua of Cameroon’s Littoral Region represented the Minister of Trade at the forum, underscoring the initiative’s timeliness given Cameroon’s current infrastructure and electrification goals. He encouraged Cameroonian enterprises to pursue long-term partnerships with Turkish firms, which are known for their competitiveness and innovation.
Also present was Dr Solle Géremie, First Deputy Mayor of the Douala City Council, stressing the city’s commitment to attracting foreign investment and supporting industrial growth initiatives. Auguste Mbappé Penda, General Manager of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council, highlighted the importance of improved logistics, port efficiency, and regulatory coordination to ensure that partnerships forged at the forum translate into sustainable economic activity.
On the Turkish side, Devrim Eroğlu, Head of the Turkish Business Delegation and Board Member of the Turkish Electrical and Electronics Exporters Association (TET), outlined Türkiye’s capabilities in power generation, grid infrastructure, industrial electronics and household appliances. He expressed confidence that Turkish expertise could complement Cameroon’s growing demand for electrical and modern solutions.
In his keynote address, HE Volkan Öskiper, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Cameroon, emphasised the longstanding partnership between the two nations and noted that this was the second such forum on Cameroonian soil.
The forum was organised in collaboration with the Istanbul Electrical and Electronics Exporters Association, a semi-governmental body under Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade that represents thousands of exporters active in global markets. Detailed company profiles and technical catalogues were made available to participants to support follow-up engagement and potential investment outcomes.
