The children of venerated statesman, Solomon Tandeng Muna are now heading to court to resolve issues related to sharing of their father’s assets.
Ama Tutu Muna, former Minister of Arts and Culture and pioneer member of the National Commission on the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism has dragged her brother, Barrister Akere Muna to court.

Akere Muna is expected to appear before the courts along with his three brothers – Bernard Acho Muna, Walinjom Fombad Muna, and Akere Tabeng Muna – over the management and sharing of their late father’s estate. Ama Tutu Muna is challenging a high court decision that made Akere administrator of the Tandeng Muna dynasty.

Given that Minister Ama Tutu Muna is a devote member of President Paul Biya’s Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), it is believed that the court motion is not connected to attempts to puncture Akere Muna’s political ambitions.
Akere Muna had declared that he will challenge President Paul Biya in the next presidential elections. The leader of the “NOW Movement” strongly believes that he is fit to be Cameroon’s next president.
Akere Muna is considered a serious opponent of President Paul Biya and is currently on a tour in the major European capitals to meet with the Cameroonian Diaspora.
Upon his arrival on Saturday in Paris, the French capital, Akere was welcomed by a strong delegation of the ‘NOW’ movement headed by Koko Atéba.
