A 7 days prayer and fasting programme has been announced for all families in the midst of the crisis, which could be the possible solution to the end of the tensions which are recording huge hardships to the populations of the South west and North West regions of Cameroon.
The message is said to be from God, through the intercessors of the nation.
According to the National Coordinator, pastor Chick Joe Chick, “We have put forth, according to the instructions of God, a 7 day fasting and prayer for families, everyone in the family”.
He says the programme is to begin today, Tuesday October 16-Monday 22, from 6am-6pm, under the theme: Return to God with all your heart. The scriptural backings are from the books of Joel 2:12 and 13, Jonah 3:5-10.
The man of God explains in his message on social media that “On the evening of Friday October 12, I could not sleep, as all I saw were wars here and there. I even saw a war between our refining company SONARA and another foreign company I could not really get the name, they were fighting in the sea to the extent they were using sub-marines.”
When he went back into prayers to God asking why wars will still take place in Cameroon, in spite of all the fasting and prayers being offered to God, it was revealed to him that “Who told you that Cameroonians are fasting?”
According to God’s servant, “That question baffled me, as I was told that “they are busy transferring from one town to another and others busy stocking their houses with food, preparing for the war, as the hear rumours of war”.
He says he did a fasting census of the ongoing 21-day fasting among 23 whatsapp groups, requesting that those who are fasting should indicate. “Behold, not up to 20 persons, out of the more than 2000 persons in the groups indicated that they were fasting”.
Pastor Chick further explained that Sunday October 14, was another series of wars, “this time around, I saw myself running to go and hide in the bush, with other neighbours and other families.”
He maintains the fasting programme is imperative for every family “One person in the family can be the leader, who has heard this message and will be able to explain it with others in the family. Pray and plead with them, do everything to see that families get into prayers, even if they are out of the country, involve them in the fasting”.
He also emphasizes that even children, as well as babies must also be included, “maybe from 6-9am, or 12 for young children. First timers should break at 3pm while Christians are expected to go right up to 6pm. Families or neighbours should join and pray together from 5:30am to 6:30am and also pray by 5pm-6pm to break the fasting”.
The prayer points are as follows:
-We pray to repent and change from all our forms of non-Christian and ungodly lifestyles
-For the Church to wake up from sleep
-For Cameroon, for God’s solution to the problems in this country
-For God to arrest the promoters of war in this country; some are more concerned about war because they know what they are benefiting from it
-For God to have mercy and intervene
-Pray solely for His will
The servant of God is positive that before the 7 days programme elapses, God will show up with a solution.
