A list of 50 names of files that have been approved has been published by the Cameroon Bar Association as fit to run for the upcoming Bar elections slated for Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Yaoundé.
The president of the Bar council is also expected to emerge from these selected 50 candidates running to be elected as members of the Bar Council come June 18, 2022.
However, only 15 positions are available to these 50 candidates, including that of the president of the Bar council.
In a communiqué signed by the secretary general of the Cameroon Bar Association, Bar Philippe Olivier Memong on Friday, April 22, 2022, the president of the general assembly has summoned all advocates of the Cameroon Bar Association to be present to vote at 9am prompt.

This general assembly which is convened for the purpose of renewing organs of the Bar council, aside from protocol aspects will have only two points on the agenda; questions relating to the balance sheet of the outgoing organs and the elections proper.
