The double appointment of Prof. Nalova Lyonga as member of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement CPDM party and Head of the CPDM Permanent Divisional Delegation for Fako, has been greeted with much celebration by militants of the party in the Division. The appointment was made public on Thursday, March 27, 2025, by the national chairman of the CPDM, H.E. President Paul Biya.
According to the interim Section President of CPDM Fako 1A, Ludwig Makaka Williams, the double appointment is a timely gesture, which comes to unite the party and cement it’s prestigious victorious position in Fako.
Describing Prof. Nalova as a noble politician, unique in her style and one full of discipline, Makaka believes that her presence at the helm of the party in the Division is in the best interest for all. “We, militants of CPDM Fako 1A are elated to have the noble personality of Prof. Nalova Lyonga champion our political course in the Division, and pledge our total support to the ideals which she propagates”, Makaka says.
On his part, the YCPDM Section President for Fako 1A, Ekema Roland Ngale, says Prof. Nalova’s double appointment is reflective of her works to keep the party on top.
Amongst several things, Prof. Nalova Lyonga is celebrated for being present on ground in managing political issues in the Division, while she was interim PDD.
Her quest to push party discipline, interest and unity is said to be crumbling walls of divide within and among sections of the party, placing her as a politician of standing, and one very representative of the CPDM.
Within the context of her huge back-to-school campaign which took place in Limbe, Bafoussam and the North of Cameroon at the start of the current academic year, Prof. Nalova handed a huge quantity of school gadgets to pupils and students, as well as customised exercise books carrying the picture of her Chairman, H. E. President Paul Biya on the cover page. The customised books, which she maintained will be distributed yearly, has been viewed by many as a way to immortalise Biya and keep his image shining not only within the CPDM but also in the classroom.
The politician, confident and graceful in her speech, also put in much effort to ensure tue rehabilitation of the Mile 14/Mile 17 stretch of road, which had hitherto wore an ugly look. While doing so, she promised that all the roads in Fako will be handlled to bring them to modern taste.
As Minister of Secondary Education, Prof Nalova remains reatless to see that school campuses are conducive enough for effective teaching and learning. Her reforms in the secondary education subsector have been commendable.
The erudite Academic/Politician is thus viewed by her comrades as the right person to manage politics in Fako Division under the CPDM canopy at the present moment.
