“When I renewed David Pagou’s contract, he said to me, President, that’s a lot! I replied that if the Federation had more resources, I would have given him even more. Because if it is possible to spend millions of CFA francs to pay an incompetent foreign coach, then it is legitimate to invest billions of CFA francs to promote a competent Cameroonian coach. “
By breaking with the tradition of modest salaries for local coaches, Samuel Eto’o is sending a strong message.
