Women of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilization Fund better known by its French acronym CSPH joined their female counterparts last March 8, 2026 to march pass the 20 May Boulevard in Yaounde in front of the Guest of Honour of the 41st edition of the International Women’s Day, Cameroon’s First Lady, Chantal Biya and the Minister of Women Empowerment and the Family, Prof Marie-Thérèse Abena Ondoa. They gathered under the umbrella of HPSF Women’s Association to demonstrate their prowess and determination to produce more of good results for their institution.
Celebrating on the theme “Rights, Justice, Action: driving inclusive and high-performing governance at HPSF,’’ the women all joined in a common meal offered at the occasion by the General Manager GM of CSPH and Deputy GM at the banquet hall of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilization Fund at the Warda Roundabout in Yaounde.
The ceremony began with CSPH women offering special gifts to the wife of the DG, Madam Okie Catherine for honouring them with her presence.
There was total jubilation as Okie Johnson handed the symbolic sum of FCFA 1 million to the female football team that trashed their CDEC counterparts by 4 goals to 1. He also handed a symbolic support to Women’s Association President to be shared to all those who organised the gastronomy day.

The HPSF boss told reporters that, ‘‘our balance sheet is very positive. From everything that has been going on the whole week, what I’ve come to discover and which I did not know is how far our women are modelling and how far they play the role of a woman. You know, in our African society, a woman is there to take care of the family, take care of the house, and when a woman sits and is responsible, the family is responsible.’’
Okie Johnson added that “Our CSPH women lay the foundation on which we’ve built for us, for successes, for family unity, being together and being one in terms of love. There have been a lot I’ve come to discover from them, which is more of a victory and a positive move, merits, values, which I’ve found in them, even though we still have more for them to come, but it’s a positive balance sheet.”
He said “when I stood up to clap for them at the 20th May Boulevard, I even forgot they had passed and I was still clapping. They were fantastic, they were marvellous. That is what is a result of performance. They are those actors who have been able to put the word performance in everything they have been able to do. This year, I’m honest to say, it’s exceptional in everything they’ve been able to do. And even this evening, just look at the stand, the decor. I’m discovering this for the first time. And all this, you know, when you have a feminine push, it comes to complete what the man and the father is able to do. And one other thing that touched me with these other women is the social part.”
The GM appreciated his female collaborators for reaching out to the needy at the 41st edition of the International Women’s Day.
Officially commissioning newly appointed officials at CSPH, the GM insisted that, “things must change. With this new team, we need some small means to work. Somebody has gone on retirement for several months and it is now they are paying him. He didn’t commit any crime.”
On her part, the President of HPSF Women’s Association, Myriam Ngono Ngono expressed gratitude to their GM, Okie Johnson and Deputy GM, Obam Oli Diane Valerie, for offering them a conduisive working environment at CSPH.
