Gustave Léopold Ngane: New Secretary General of the Senate

He was appointed by the Senate office meeting, presided over by first Vice-President Aboubakary Abdoulaye. The senior civil administrator of 62 years, he takes over from Michel Meva’a Meboutou, whose health was threatened now or then.
The new Secretary General is in the limelight now for the first time. This followed a career that kicked off in 1990 at the Higher State Control (Consupe), where Gustave worked as a control executive before joining the office of the Prime Minister.

However, most of his career started here at the Cameroon Press and Publishing Company (Sopecam) in the Campo District of the South region.
Over his 16 years of existence, in this public company, he held several important positions, including, among others, administrative and financial director, technical advisor number 1, director of control and management, and strategic and development director.
He joined the Senate, as a technical advisor, at the office of the President of the Upper House, in 2016. He was there right up until his latest appointment as Secretary-General.
