Insecurity on the rise in Limbe ahead of festive season

Thieves are reported to have visited several homes in Towe and Nurses Quarters neighbourhood in Limbe on Thursday December 7, 2017 around 2AM.
The SUN gathered that the bandits visited several homes and 8 stores along the road and made away with goods worth millions of FCFA.
The thieves finally took to their heels at their final stop when a dog belonging to one Pa Tanyi started barking at the intruders who finally escaped leaving behind some of the instruments they were using for the burglary.
Some of the landlords only discovered that their homes have been ransacked only when the bandits had vamoosed into thin air.
Some of the victims say the thieves must have used juju on them to have carried out successful operations without anyone noticing.
In a related story,thieves are reported to have attacked a lady on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at Cassava Farms neighborhood in Limbe and made away with her bag containing her phone, the sum of FCFA 82.000, jewelry and other valuables.
The SUN gathered that the said lady was intercepted at about 10:30pm as she was on her way back from church by two men at a dark corner. She was forced at gunpoint to surrender all what she had on her.
The SUN also gathered that five vehicles have been stolen in just one week, according to reports from security forces in Limbe.
Security officers are calling on the population to be very vigilant during this end of year festive period.
