One could not go by without noticing the black attire of the day, as most journalist dressed in black outfits.

Nyambot Divine, the Meme Chapter President of CAMASEJ said ‘the black attire was a unanimous decision we took in the region after a meeting they had in Buea, convened by the executive bureau of the Cameroon Journalist Trade Union for the Southwest Region, that it will be our own way of showing solidarity with our own colleagues who are behind bars, reasons being that they were arrested while executing their duties’.
He noted that the black outfit was not only put on in Kumba as those in Buea and Limbe equally dressed in black.
They further called for the unconditional release of their colleagues who are without any charge.
