Limbe Wildlife Centre closes door to visitors, non-essential staff

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause panic around the globe including Cameroon, the Limbe Wildlife Centre, LWC has closed its doors to visitors and unessential staff, in a bid to contain the spread of the virus.
According to Guillaume Le Flohic, Manager of the Limbe Wildlife Centre and Country Director, Pandrillus Cameroon, this measure has been put in place to protect not only human life but also that of animals which are not exempted from the effect of the virus.
Nonetheless, Le Flohic revealed that, over 200 African grey parrots, in the rehabilitation aviary are ready to enter the soft release programme next month, beckoning on the government of Cameroon to assist them financially in order to secure the survival of the animals, while guaranteeing safety and security for all staff members.
