Prof. Raphael Nyarkotey Obu is a renowned professor of Naturopathic Healthcare and President, of Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology, Ghana.
He became a full professor at 36 and was inducted into the West Africa Nobles forum. He won the national 40under40 achievers award in Education in 2018.
He was conferred the pioneer of modern naturopathy by the Indian Medical Association, Junior Doctors Network, Odisha in 2022.
In the Gambia, he was also conferred as the trailblazer and father of modern naturopathy development by the National Traditional Healers(TRAHASS).
Prof. Nyarkotey is also a Chartered Management Consultant, Medical journalist, and Science writer. He is a well-known medical and science writer in the Ghanaian and the Gambian media space and also on the global front in promoting evidence-based Natural therapies.
He writes for national papers such as the Daily Graphic; Ghanaian Times; BFT; Chronicles and many others in Ghana.
In the Gambia, he writes columns and features for the Voice; Standard; Fatu Network, and What’s on the Gambia.
He has authored close to 1,000 articles, 100 peer review journal papers, and books on naturopathic medicine and legislation.
