Yaounde: Housing minister satisfied with works executed by RAZEL Company

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Celestine Ketcha Courtes has expressed satisfaction over works executed by RAZEL Company in Yaounde. She made the observation last July 11, 2024 at the end of a field visit to inspect the work calendar of RAZEL Company in the nation’s capital who had been awarded many contracts by the Ministry.

By this second semester of the budgetary year, the balance sheet of the projects indicates many contracts signed, service order notifications, start of work and services.

It is within the framework of evaluating the level of the execution that Minister Celestine Ketcha Courtes went down to the field July 11, 2024.

During this visit, the Housing and Urban Development boss was accompanied by the representative of the Governor of the Centre region and the Senior Divisional Officer of Mfoundi as well as certain Mayors playing host to some of these projects and her close collaborators. She visited the council areas of Yaounde I, IV, V and VI.

At Yaounde V, the Minister and her delegation were marveled by the current construction of a skate park (special plank conceived for displacement or to realise some sports figures) within the framework of Paris 2024 Olympic Games, a project issued from the French cooperation.

And in the Yaounde I district, the Ministerial convoy made three stop overs inspecting the Messassi Market-Fouda Roundabout before inspecting the sanitation works at Bata and at Nlongkak Roundabout.

Celestine Ketcha Courtes used the occasion to sensitise the population at each stopover to accompany the company for better realisation of these projects.

The Minister concluded her visit at the Yaounde VI district with Simbock where RAZEL Company is stationed at the Grand Chief’s Roundabout-Sisters Roundabout-Kadndap School Complex-Entrance Small Genius School Roundabout where work is going on.

Minister Ketcha Courtes invited RAZEL Company to mobilise itself without delay in order to catch up with gaps observed between the rate of works execution and consumption deadlines of the projects.

She ended the visit by announcing in the days ahead, visits to other projects carried out by other companies in the city of Yaounde.
