Vatican appoints Bishop Abraham Kome as administrator of Diocese of Bafia

Mgr Abraham Kome Bishop of Bafang has been appointed as the administrator of the Diocese of Bafia ,bearly a week after the assassination of the Bishop of Bafia Mgr Benoit Bala.But who is Bishop Abraham Kome?
Bishop Abraham KOME was born on 2 July 1969 in Loum-Ville. He was the son of  Étienne BOALLO, carpenter by profession and  his mother, Jacqueline EBENDE is a housewife.
After primary and secondary studies at Sts Peter and Paul de Loum, he registered at the seminary and was ordained a priest on December 11, 1999 in Nkongsamba.  Father José Luis Fernandez was his godfather for his ordination whose motto was: “The weakness of the little ones and the patience of the humble can not leave God indifferent.”
From 1999 to 2000, Bishop Abraham held the posts of Diocesan Chaplain of Youth and Childhood and Vicar at the Cathedral of Nkongsamba; From 2000 to 2003, he was dean of studies and discipline at the Petit Séminaire de Mélong and assistant vicar at the parish of Saints Pierre and Paul de Mélong. Then, during four years (20032007), he will assume the functions of Cure de Kékem, diocesan ceremonial and diocesan head of evangelization. He was assigned to Nkongsamba as Rector of the Cathedral and Vicar General in 2017, while remaining Diocesan Responsible for Evangelization.
A position he held until May 2011, when he is confirmed by the Nunciature as Diocesan Administrator of Nkongsamba. On May 26, 2012, he was appointed first bishop of the newly founded Diocese of Bafang. Monsignor Abraham KOME now moves to Bafia Diocese to meet a people still in grief.
