Several persons rendered homeless by Limbe house fire

The population of new town Limbe are still in shock and consternation after fire consumed an entire plank building early Tuesday October 24, 2017 around Saker Street junction precisely at Etutu quarter.
The SUN gathered from sources that, the inferno started at about 6:30am on Tuesday October 24, caused by flames coming from the kitchen.
No property was removed from the house except a Bible. There was total confusion in New Town as residents and some elements of the municipal police engaged in futile efforts to douse the flames.
The exact cause of the fire has not been established as at press time though many were of the opinion that the fire may have resulted from an electrical short circuit.
The exact damage caused by the inferno is still to be assessed in monetary terms as most of the victims could not be reached as at press time.
