Meanwhile David Nanjia Carr, one of the contestants to the throne told The SUN that the consultative talks were a sham. “I know bribery and corruption has become a virus in our government, what I will say is that, Motia Mathias can never become a chief unless my name is not David Nanjia Carr” he stated angrily.
He added that he has given the DO classified documents to determine the true natives of the village. He accused those chosen by the kingmakers and endorsed by the DO of having criminal records and unfit to rule the village.
He regretted that his candidate for the chieftaincy talks, Franklin Menyoli Carr could not make it to the consultative talks due to other imperatives that took him to Ngaoundere.
David Nanjia Carr vowed to protest the DO’s decision which according to him did not follow the right procedure.
While David Nanjia Carr and his camp are busy following up with their protest, plans are already afoot for the coronation of Motia Mathias Motia as chief of Livanda village.
