Mezam IV CPDM section president calls for creation of Tubah special constituency

The CPDM section presidents of the North West region were meeting with their CPDM North West regional coordinator PM Philemon Yang at his residence in Yaounde last January 27, 2018 to present their sections reports in preparation for the upcoming elections this year.
During the presentation of their reports, the CPDM section president for Mezam IV-Bafut, Mbonifor Kennedy Ngwa raised a lot of concerns that caught the attention of the PM and his peers.
Prince Mbonifor Kennedy Ngwa, following a copy of the report procured by this reporter and endorsed by the PM Philemon Yang for study advocated for the equitable representation for the senatorial post. According to Mbonifor Kennedy, the senatorial post should be rotatory to avoid monopoly in the Mezam division, the North West and Cameroon as a whole.
The Mezam division, it should be noted has seven (7) subdivisions that is; Santa, Bali, Tubah, Bafut, Bamenda I, II and III. Mbonifor Kennedy argued that Bali, Santa with their alternates in Tubah and within have had their own taste of the Senatorial national cake through presidential decree. Two of the seven subdivisions that is; Mezam central and Bafut should be the point of concern to the head of state come this 2018 election year to avoid leaving other divisions in the cold.
Taking into consideration the numerous challenges facing candidates of the CPDM Mezam IV in winning elections, Prince Mbonifor Kennedy Ngwa proposed to the prime minister that there is the need to create a special constituency for Tubah subdivision. The section president of the Tubah constituency, Professor Peter Abety who could not raise the topic joined the rest of his comrade to acclaim the motion by the Mezam IV section president. It should be noted that, Bafut-Tubah share one parliamentary seat with two councils.
He also announced that CPDM Bafut joined ELECAM in the registration of voters and so far, the division has helped register 20,500 voters; an increase of 200 this year. He also announced that some elite of the Bafut subdivision headed by Justice Damain Ambe procured ID Cards for some CPDM militants to increase the registration of voters.
Speaking to The SUN on the party’s readiness, Prince Mbonifor Kennedy Ngwa boasted that; “During the last senatorial elections, we caused three SDF members to vote for the CPDM. At the municipal and legislative election, we scored 48 percent. So, we do not doubt our readiness”.
