Prince Michael Ekoso Ngwese of the United Socialist Democratic Party, USDP has endorsed and officially declared his support for Presidential aspirant, Akere Muna.
Ekoso made the declaration on February 23, 2018 during a press briefing where he said he will not compete for the presidential seat himself but will rather extend his maximum collaboration and support to Akere Muna, a candidate he thinks best qualifies for the presidential seat.
Prince Ekoso, chairman of the USDP that was legalized in 2011 had previously showed much interest in the Unity Palace. In 2015, he began mapping out strategies on how to occupy the Unity Palace come 2018 but has shifted stance and endorsed another candidate.
To him, Akere Muna is the one with the mettle to liberate Cameroon from the ongoing socio-political upheavals paralyzing the North West and South West regions of the country. “Young people are fed up with the old system of politics in the country” he remarked.
The 43-year-old Prince Ekoso is a holder of a BA in Social Sciences and International Relations, who has always fought against what he describes as a system of suppression and oppression under the protracted leadership of President Biya.
He believes that forming an alliance with Akere Muna will only add to the strength of the opposition against the regime that has ruled the country for more than three decades. To this effect, he called on Cameroonians and the youths in particular to give their full support to Akere Muna, the candidate he believes has what it takes to win.
