TV watchers can now alternatively watch their series and other adventurous films through a newly launched 3G-4G Smartphone application christened the Yabadoo application.
Launched at the Akwa Palace hotel last Thursday September 20, the Yabadoo application is the product of a partnership agreement between MTN Cameroon and APLI-TV.it has taken them two years torealize this project.
The application is generally meant to target local film and entertainment talents just like in Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire and other countries. You can watch TV channels and programs whenever and wherever you want, stated Marie-Rose Daya, Senior Manager Digital Devices who added that it is also a video application.
Patrick Diencheu disclosed that aside from having direct access to TV channels, the user’s internet bundle or reserve will remain unused especially with the 3G and 4G smartphones: “It is a way of reviving the use of TV which is facing dire competition with other applications like WhatsApp which has plunged DVD sales.”
Yabadoo will beam local channels, hundreds of series and adventurous films. Local films will always be available to assist in redynamising the sector in Cameroon.
Tony Asmar of APLI-TV stated that the services cannot be downloaded and reiterated that it will not consume internet costs among others.
