West elite thank Biya for appointing Simo Njonou as SONARA GM

Elite of the West Region of Cameroon based in Limbe, South West region, have unanimously expressed their heartfelt joy and gratitude to President Paul Biya, for appointing one of them, SIMO NJONOU Jean Paul, as General Manager of the National Refining Company, SONARA.
This was done in a Motion of Support to the Head of State, during an Extra-ordinary General Assembly at the office of the Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, on Thursday, January 24 2019.
Under the umbrella of the Family and Cultural Associations of West region in Limbe, the motion was signed by the General Coordinator, Kouontchou N. Emmanuel, alongside eight (8) others representing the various divisions, including MOUW SANDE AMADOU (NOUN), DJOMO DATOUO Rostand (HAUTS-PLATEAUX), TOMTCHA Thomas (NDE), NANA Elie (HAUT NKAM), BOPDA Maurice (KOUNG-KHI), TCHID Thomas (BAMBOUTOS), TCHOULA Martin (MENOUA) and TAGANG Claude (MIFI).
In the presence of Fako Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) Engamba Emmanuel Ledoux and SONARA’s new General Manager, Simo Njonou Jean Paul, the elite, dressed in their traditional regalia, in a feeling of gratitude and honour, did read out the motion of support through the voice of the General Coordinator, Kouontchou N.

They praised president Biya’s leadership qualities since he took over the baton of command in 1982, marked with courage and determination which they held has led to significant progress in Cameroon’s national development.

The elite stated they are solidly behind the Head of State in his Vision 2035 Emergence programme, and acknowledged him as a “true, tested and devoted leader of our beloved country Cameroon”.
They also sincerely thanked him for appointing Simo Njonou at the helm of SONARA, the news which broke out on Monday, January 14 2019, and the smiles on their faces during this solemn occasion attested to the fact that Biya has indeed made the West region proud.

The leaders also acknowledged Biya’s devotedness and zeal to implant and foster living together in diversity without limitations through his policy of national integration. “Assure and guarantee our total mobilization for support of your policy of greater opportunities in A ONE AND INDIVISIBLE CAMEROON”, they stated.
As they closed the motion, Kouontchou Emmanuel, on behalf of his brethren, prayed for God’s protection, guidance, good health and wisdom in all of Biya’s endeavors, as they wished him a happy and prosperous 2019, at the helm of Cameroon.

In response, Engamba Ledoux warmly received the motion, and assured that his office will see to its immediate transfer to the Presidency. In line with the policy of National Integration and living together, Engamba assured them of their safety and called on them to continue enjoying their stay in his division.
Engamba also called on them to join hands with the administration to fight insecurity and maintain the integrity of the national territory.

Simo Njonou Jean Paul, though a listener in the course of the event, his facial expression could be observed and interpreted as a man, proud of his people and happy they intend are proud of him.
The cocktail at the end of the ceremony served as an avenue for the traditional, social and cultural leaders to familiarize with their brother Simo Njonou, to give him words of courage, which will strengthen him wear the shoes of the pragmatic erstwhile GM of SONARA, Ibrahim Talba Malla.
