Medics in the Limbe I Subdivision on Friday, April 3, 2020 gathered and brainstormed on ways to combat the spread of the virus in the municipality. Speaking during the meeting, the Regional Delegate of Public Health, Dr. Ebongo Zacheus Nanje urged the stakeholders to embark on intense sensitisation campaigns to create more awareness of the virus.
Dr. Ebongo Zacheus stressed on the fact that bike riders who do not use masks from Monday April 6, 2020 will not ply the streets. He also insisted that employers should reduce staff present at work so as to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Director of the Limbe Regional Hospital, Dr. Kinge Thompson Njie frowned at the charlatan attitude of the Limbe population who care less about the spread of the virus, as they keep on doing their activities as if there is no virus in the division. He however pleaded with the competent authority to put more pressure on lockdown so as to prevent the continuous spread of the virus.
