City Mayors and Mayors of the United Councils and Cities of Cameroon will converge on Yaounde this weekend for the 2nd edition of the Councils International Economic Forum dubbed JEICOM23 for the development of the territories.
Placed under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, H.E Paul Biya and under the supervision of the Minister of Decentralization and Local Development, Georges Elanga Obam, JEICOM23 will hold on the theme “territories facing the imperative of food security.”
Members of the United Councils and Cities of Cameroon will actively be participating at this second edition to showcase their prowess and needs from June 1st to 3, 2023 at the Yaounde Conference Centre.
The President of the United Councils and Cities of Cameroon, Augustin Tamba who doubles as the Mayor of Yaounde VII has called on the general mobilization of councils and regions in Cameroon to tap from the advantages to be offered by visitors.
The 2nd edition of the Councils International Economic Forum dubbed JEICOM23 has the objective of creating opportunity framework to finance councils’ projects as well as the valorization of the potentials of territories.
Highlights of the event include: the opening ceremony of June 1, 2023, the organization of the economic mission of the French Entreprises Movement, MEDEF from May 30, 2023 to June 2, 2023 and the closing ceremony of June 3, 2023.
Highly awaited at the event is the 374 Councils and City Councils of Cameroon, 10 regions, institutional partners, more than 100 enterprises, investors and investment funds mobilized from 25 countries.
