The Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alamine Ousmane Mey was Special Envoy of President Paul Biya of Cameroon to Ndjamena, Chad last March 10, 2023 with a sealed message to Chadian President, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno.
Minister Alamine Ousmane Mey was received in audience at the Toumai Palace by the Chadian Head of State, H.E Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno.
H.E President Paul Biya as current Chairman of the Conference of Head of States of the Economic and Monetary Commission of Central African States, special envoy handed the sealed message to the Chadian President.
The Minister told the press that this mission to Ndjamena falls within the framework of regular consultations on the economic, monetary and financial situation in the central African states.
Both men used the occasion to review the functioning of the community institution so as to give consulted, structural and solidarity response to shocks facing the central African regions. This consultation is justified by the current context marked by wild repercussions of the COVID19 pandemic and Russia- Ukraine war on CEMAC economies.
Here just like in 2016, 2019 and 2021, this initiative has as objective to give a facelift to the economies of the sub region.
The special envoy of President Paul Biya and the Chadian President, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno was also used to exalt the excellent friendly relationship and cooperation between Ndjamena and Yaounde.
