Atanga Nji promises to secure 2019 municipal, legislative and regional elections

The Minister of Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji has promised the President of the Republic, Paul Biya that his ministry will secure upcoming municipal, legislative and regional elections in Cameroon this year.
Giving the assurance last January 21, 2019 at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Territorial Administration in Yaounde while receiving New Year wishes from staff of his ministry, Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea, Senior Divisional Officers and Divisional Officers of the various administrative units in the Centre region, Minister Atanga Nji Paul declared that secessionists threats to the organization of elections in the North West and South West regions of the country and growing insecurity can never be above the administration to handle.

After listening to the presentation of the 2018 balance sheet of the ministry by the Secretary General of Minat, Essomba Pierre, the Territorial Administration boss thanked his collaborators for forming a family with him to execute the roadmap assigned to them by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya.
The 45-minutes event ordered by Minister Atanga Nji was an opportunity for staff, the governor, SDOs and DOs of the Centre region to reassure him of their total availability and devotedness to serve the nation.
He said the speeches of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya at his oath-taking ceremony for the new mandate last November 6, 2018, end of year message to the nation and address at the 36th graduation Batch of EMIA recently constitute the roadmap of the Ministry of Territorial Administration “as we must concretize this in the field in the restoration of peace in the NW and SW regions.”
While urging his staff and administrative units in the ten regions to remain vigilant in the face of security challenges, Minister Atanga Nji underlined that they will work towards the preservation of peace given that the Head of State reiterated calls on secessionists to willfully drop their weapons or be ready to meet on their way Cameroon Defense Forces and the administration.
Insisting that “We must work closely preaching peace and reconciliation in the North West and South West regions,” the Minister threatened that “We will give no chance to anybody who will dare to disturb public order this year in Cameroon.”
