Cameroonian security forces are in search of Tanwani Effendi Tanwani, a Cameroonian who was arrested in the Wotutu area in Buea Subdivision by the government forces of law and order February 9, 2026 for allegedly sponsoring terrorism.
According to report he was later released on February 13. However, government forces paid a visit to his resident for further investigation and found out that he is nowhere to be found.
Anyone with recent information about his whereabouts should contact any nearby police station.

Tanwani’s case is one among many who have fled Cameroon due to the ongoing conflict in the Northwest and Southwest regions. It highlights the dangers faced by those attempting to seek safety in neighbouring countries and elsewhere.
