CNPS regional boss bids goodbye after 34 years of service

One of Cameroon’s illustrious daughters who served the National Social Insurance Fund, CNPS for 34 years has retired. Mme Aïssatou Djeilani who occupied the post of Regional Directress of the West, South West and Littoral regions administered from the CNPS regional headquarters in Douala, for many long years before retiring.
She is originally from the North region but was born in Nkongsamba just over 60 years ago. In her working life, she is said to have bagged all the medals over time. She was known for her conviviality, simplicity and a great innovator who was very instrumental in transforming the CNPS management systems into the digital world.
Dr Mme Abubakar Rucetour who gave testimony about Mme Djeilani’s family life said she has been very attached to her family despite her managerial pressures. Mme Abubakar described her as one who has rich positive values such as being a great communicator, organiser, frank in her dealing with children, kind, compromising and dynamic.

The DG of CNPS Moukoulou Akame Mvondo told workers and many distinguished guests that Mme Aïssatou Djeilani was part and parcel of the decision-making process of the CNPS, a senior manager whose name was always mentioned positively on a daily basis. He testified that madam Djeilani helped to upgrade his knowledge on social security and many other courses since he came to head the CNPS.
These attributes, Akame Mvondo stated encouraged him to name her Chief of Centre at CNPS pilote Centre in Bassa, where reforms and experimentations on information applications were created. He added that without Madam Djielani, they would not have attained their objectives that efficiently had CNPS digitalised. The Director General continued that this type of result is characteristic of her person and that what she did was describe by him as a job of eternity which will remain in the history of the CNPS. He then advised others to emulate her example and not to be like the passing wind that passes without leaving a mark.
As for Mme Djeilani, she expressed gratitude to hierarchy and other directors and close collaborators who helped to bring about positive changes. She continued that in the CNPS they do not just work but produce results.
Mme Djeilani who confirmed for having served the CNPS for 34 years 4 months and 24 days disclosed that a new page is in the making in her history and it is not what to engage in that is lacking. “I will not withdraw or give up. I will be one moving in high spirits. I wish to share with you the secret of discipline, humility, improve the image of CNPS, loyalty, professionalism and no deviant behaviours” as the tools of success. Mme Djeilani who said she will also get involved in swimming and horse riding, was showered with blessings, many gifts and certificates of recognition such as flowers, deep freezers, washing machines and air conditioners from various associations both within and without the CNPS just to name a few. This was closely followed by prayers from the Imam to end part of the occasion’s activities.
