ENAM results finally released after Minister, DG row

Final results of candidates who made it at the National School of Administration and Magistracy, better known by its French acronym as ENAM for the 2017/2018 academic year have been released at last by the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Agne Angouing less than 24 hours after he annulled press release No 093/ENAM/DG of 16 November 2017 publishing oral results of cycles A and B by the Director General of the school, Linus Toussaint Mendjana.
The Minister justified in press release 000709/CRP/MINFOPRA/CAB of 16 November 2017 cancelling the results earlier published by ENAM’s Director General that “the results were annulled due to the violation of the texts in force procedures established in the management of competitive administrative examinations.”
The hide and seek game between the Minister and the Director General of ENAM is happening at the time two children of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya sat in the competitive entrance examinations for the very first time.
In a press release issued last November 17, 2017, Minister Michel Agne Angouing explained that the results of successful candidates at the various cycles of the school will be read on the national station while the electronic versions will be made available subsequently.
Political pundits are already claiming that the incident happened due to the fact that each of the two state officials were struggling to draw credit to themselves for being the one who has facilitated the entry of the President’s children into ENAM.
With this crack on the wall, only time will tell if the DG of ENAM, Linus Toussaint Mendjana and the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Agne Angouing will maintain a smooth working relationship.
