The 2025 CPDM Fako II Section Conference was convened at the Muyuka Council hall on March 22, 2025 with a resounding call for empowerment, party unity, and commitment to the upcoming presidential election. Under the theme, “Empowering Militants, Enhancing Party Performance,” the conference was presided over by Hon. Findi Stanley Mokondo, CPDM Fako II Section President, who emphasised the importance of strengthening party structures and investing in militants to ensure victory at the polls.

Despite security challenges in Muyuka Subdivision, the event saw a massive turnout of militants from all 30 subsections, reaffirming their loyalty to the party and their dedication to the CPDM’s vision. Hon. Findi underscored the significance of equipping militants with practical skills and knowledge, highlighting the training of women in soap-making and income-generating activities as a step toward economic empowerment.
Hon. Findi’s call to action: unity, commitment, and development
In his keynote address, Hon. Findi Stanley Mokondo expressed gratitude to government officials, local authorities, and traditional rulers for their unwavering support in advancing the CPDM’s mission in Fako II. He emphasised that the party’s strength lies in its militants’ commitment, discipline and unity, urging them to work together for a prosperous and inclusive future. “Our party’s success does not depend solely on leadership but on the collective efforts of all militants. We must empower ourselves, enhance our skills, and work tirelessly towards our common goals,” he stated.
Hon. Findi praised the leadership of President Paul Biya, describing him as “a beacon of stability and progress,” and encouraged militants to follow his example of resilience and dedication to national development. He called on all members to register massively for the upcoming elections and to remain steadfast in their commitment to the CPDM’s vision.
Militants’ resolutions: Strategies for victory and development
During the deliberations, militants raised several key concerns, including youth participation in governance, employment opportunities, and the reconstruction of public infrastructure affected by the ongoing crisis in Muyuka. In response, Hon. Findi assured them that the party would prioritise vocational training, facilitate job creation, and advocate for government intervention in rebuilding key institutions such as the Muyuka District Hospital, the Divisional Officer’s office, and local schools.

Among the major resolutions adopted at the conference were; Unwavering support to President Paul Biya: Militants unanimously endorsed President Biya as the CPDM’s sole candidate in the 2025 presidential election, Youth Empowerment Initiatives: Increased access to vocational training programmes and financial support for youth employment, Election Preparedness: Encouraging massive voter registration and ensuring transparent and democratic elections, Community Development and Reconstruction: Urging government to accelerate the rebuilding of key public infrastructures destroyed by the crisis, Collaboration with Security Forces: Strengthening cooperation with the military and law enforcement officers to maintain stability and ensure free and fair elections etc.
Motion of support to Paul Biya
The climax of the conference was the adoption of a Motion of Support reaffirming the militants’ dedication to President Paul Biya’s leadership. The document, read before the assembly, declared:

“We, the militants of Fako II Section, meeting in our 2025 Section Conference, solemnly declare our profound gratitude, loyalty, and commitment to His Excellency President Paul Biya. We unanimously support his candidature in the upcoming presidential election and pledge to work tirelessly to secure a resounding victory for our great party.”
The motion was met with enthusiastic applause and chants of support, highlighting the militants’ determination to uphold CPDM’s dominance in the political landscape.
Hon. Findi’s press interview: A vision for the future
Speaking to the press after the event, Hon. Findi reaffirmed the CPDM’s commitment to grassroots empowerment and national development. He emphasised that while political campaigns are essential, the welfare of militants remains a top priority. “Our party does not only focus on elections. We are here to uplift our people, to empower them with skills, to provide them with opportunities. Muyuka has been heavily affected by the crisis, but through our collective efforts, we will rebuild and emerge stronger,” he said.

He also reassured militants that CPDM remains the only party actively working for the people of Muyuka. “We are not just a political party; we are a movement for progress. Our militants are law-abiding citizens who respect the democratic process, and we will continue to uphold these values as we prepare for the elections.”
