Hope University Institute Limbe recently graduated 18 students for their pioneer batch and matriculated freshmen during a graduation ceremony held at Community Field Limbe.
Speaking during the event, the proprietress and president of Hope University Institute Limbe, Claudine Atabong said the graduates have been empowered with knowledge, attitude and skills needed for the job market.
She added that in just three years of existence, they have been able to maintain the goals of the Ministry of Higher Education 2035.
“To the graduates, I want to congratulate you for your hard work and success, you are celebrating today. So, mind you that as you are going out to face the world, there are a lot of challenges that await you”,
“The community you are going into is highly competitive, so you need to continue to work hard so as to catch up with the prevailing competitive market.” Claudine Atabong said.
She added that as flag bearers of the school, the graduates should go out and shine like the light of the world.
Claudine Atabong appreciated the staff for making this day a reality. She encourage them to keep up with the spirit of hard work and team work.
On her part, the Minister of Secondary Education Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga told the graduates to remember this day as they have choose a perfect profession to enable them have a meaningful life.
She stressed that nursing is not a profession but a noble vocational calling that demands compassion, skill and commitment to the wellbeing of those they serve.
Prof. Pauline Nalova told the graduates that they will be working with people who are vulnerable so they should treat the patients specially and most careful.
“As you embark on your nursing career, I urged you to always remember the essence of your profession and see beyond the illness, injury and embrace the humanity of every individual who crosses your path” Prof. Pauline Nalova said.
She added that they should not put human live before money as the nature of nurses nowadays. “We need hope from Hope University Institute Limbe. Focus and determine in all aspect of your life.” Prof. Pauline Nalova said.
Meanwhile the Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale expressed joy that more Institutions have been established in Limbe to offer quality training to the youths to permit them learn professional skills.
“All of us have gathered here to celebrate you and encourage you to be exemplary wherever you go from here. Graduation is not the end, but the beginning of academic life.” Paul Efome said.
He expressed his appreciation to all the authorities that show love for education promotion in Limbe and especially the proprietress of Hope University Institute Limbe.
Speaking on behalf of her peers Atabong Judith said It is a moment of immense pride, not just for them but for all who have had the privilege of witnessing the journey through-out this training program.
She urged her peers to implement what they have been taught during the training and shape the world
“Your time at the center has not been easy. It has been filled with challenges, late nights, hard work, and of course, the occasional self doubts. But you persevered, and you stand here today as a testament of your determination and resilience”,
“This journey transformed you not just academically but as individuals who are ready to make their mark with your various skills.” Metuge Brenda said.
She told her peers that graduation is not the end but It is a new beginning. “As you step out into the world with the knowledge and skills you have acquired here, remember learning never ends. This University has equipped you with the tools to make a difference” Atabong Judith added.
She urged her peers to embrace every opportunity to expand their horizon and adapt to an ever-challenging world.
Atanong Judith thanked all those who supported them to make the day a reality.
