“We are here to reach out to the less privileged and the vulnerable, combat poverty and to improve on lives. We also have as our objectives to empower the girl child and most especially we are into human rights protection and advocacy”
The motivating factor he explained was the high wave of internally displaced persons in Buea who have left their natural habitat due to the Anglophone crisis. “We thought it wise to send our crack team and well trained volunteers on the field to select these persons who are in need of assistance during this period”. He noted.
Barrister Mafany added that this is a sole initiative and it is the first outreach carried out by the foundation. “I am a very satisfied person. Christmas for me is all about sharing and putting smiles on the faces of people is enough for me to go back home with. Humanitarianism is one of our objectives and we have sister organizations that we intend to partner with and execute certain projects. We are also into human right protection and empowering the girl child. We were interested in identifying those who are really in need of assistance so we sent volunteers on the field for a door-to-door exercise. We assessed their living conditions and even examined how they respond to the volunteers. With that we were able to get the right persons that need assistance”. The CEO explained.
