Konye municipality electrified with solar energy

The days of perpetual darkness in Konye municipality in Meme Division are now over. This is thanks to the electrification of some villages in the Sub Division with Dr Barrister Mayor Musima Georges Lobe as the vision bearer.

The Population of Kokaka and Ndoi in the Central municipality of Konye Sub Division in Meme Division South West Region of Cameroon thunderously welcomed the implantation of 60 solar poles with bulbs by the Konye Council, shinning in the heart of the municipality of emergence, the fountain of abundance.

As an Apostle of development and a disciple of the New Deal Government, the lord Mayor of the Konye Council has preached the  popular Gospel of “he who brings light brings life”, as could be evidenced by the spontaneous hilarious outings of the beneficiary population dancing throughout the nights of August 2, and 3, 2024.

Ndoi and Kokaka communities brighten by solar

The award winning Mayor Musima, a development catalyst is path-finding with his team and collaborators to see the municipality emerge and to put smiles on the faces of the denizens of Konye Sub-Division by embellishing the municipality.

After lighting up Konye town and Ngolo-bolo communities along the Kumba – Mamfe highways with funds from MINDDEVEL, the ministry charged with decentralisation and Local Development in 2023, the Konye Council has continued its drive towards the socio-economic development of the municipality.

A group of children from Kokaka and Ndoi villages celebrated by   chanting songs of praises to the Mayor of the Konye Council, the vision bearer as well as to the contracting company, the A1 Group that did the concretised and fashionable job.

The Traditional Ruler of Ndoi-Bakundu village in Konye Sub Division who also doubles as the President of Bakundu Chiefs Conference, His Royal Majesty, Misodi Moango Andreas has acknowledged the ever pivotal developmental role of the Council executive as well as the Contracting Company.

The Mayor  of Konye who is on a second mandate, is a dean in the decentralisation chain with several awards accorded in his person for impacting lives within and out of his municipality and for being resilient and focused in pursuing development of all kinds in a bid to transform Konye into an eldorado.
