Craftsmen and women in the Limbe I Subdivision have been called upon to improve their craft work in order to promote self employment in the country.
The words of encouragement were dished out to the exhibitors at the Limbe I Council hall new chambers in Bota, on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 by the Mayor of the Limbe I Council, Mbua Ro-danny Mokako.
He was speaking while officially launching a one-day craft exhibition competition that was aimed at selecting about 20 crafts men and women who will represent Limbe I in subsequent competitions.

The Mayor, happy with the massive turnout of the various exhibitors, said he was challenged by Marcel Lyonga, a craft exhibitor who is using plastics to produce issues that are craft worthy, reason why he is out to encourage craft men and women in the Limbe I Subdivision.
The Regional Coordinator of craft men in the South West Region, Madam Ayuk Obi, addressing the craft men and in collaboration with the Mayor, called on them to deposit their work at the Regional craft village for tourists who visit Limbe and other areas to consume their works.
She regretted that the absence of their craft work at the craft village does not promote their craft work at all. The exhibitors showcased their craft work to the authorities that came during the exhibition competition.
At the end of the day, 20 best art and craft exhibitors were selected to represent Limbe I in the Divisional competition that is coming in the days ahead
