Counterfeit business is gradually gaining steam in Limbe, as a commercial Motorbike rider and a woman, (said to be a counterfeit agent) at Lower Motowoh quarter, in the Limbe I Subdivision are reported to have exchanged blows over a counterfeit banknote.
According to reports, The SUN gathered that the woman hired a bike from Mile four (4) to drop her at Lower Motowoh quarter recently, at the cost of FCFA 400. Arriving her destination, she reportedly gave the bike rider FCFA 1000 counterfeit banknote.
The commercial motorbike rider is said to have quickly raised alarm that the money was a fake banknote, but the woman tried to argue, maintaining that the money was also given to her by another person.
Following their argument, passersby began gathering. The rider threatened to drag the woman to the Police station, but reports say the woman invited her peers to rescue her from being lynched by the angry mob or taken to the Police station.
At this point, the situation resulted in a serious quarrel and bitter confrontation between the woman and the bike rider with multiple exchanges of blows, that led to a free for all fight between those supporting the woman and those against her.
