The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou has officially launched the topical networks consultation phase of youth organisations with those of the Employment and Socio-economic integration and education, training and literacy sectors. The launching took place recently in the conference room of his ministry in Yaounde.
Speaking at the occasion, Minister Mounouna Foutsou told the youths that the consultations which will end on October 18, 2024 will offer them the possibility to tell government their problems.
The Youth Affairs and Civic Education boss reiterated that “the government has left no stone unturned in order to offer them quality education, training and literacy programmes. Government also ensures a harmonious socio-economic insertion of youths. Government therefore ensures that youths have access to decent jobs”, he said.
He urged youths to continue working so that no domain should be left out.
The President of United Africa, Fodjou Christian told reporters at the end of the meeting that, “our mission today at the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education was to rehabilitate and harmonize solutions that we brought to us from field work concerning education, training and illiteracy. So, faced with those problems of higher prices of education and inaccessibility of educative facilities, we made proposals to the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education which will be included in the National Elaborative Plan for Cameroonian Youths.”
On her part, the President of the Association of Africa Enterprises Engineers, Carine Andela added that “we identified many problems such as corruption; entrepreneurs say there is tax problem which they are unable to bear. There are many problems in several sectors and entrepreneurs are complaining they don’t receive any support from the administration when they are creating their enterprises”, she revealed.
