Mysterious bees invade Kumba-based lawyer’s home

The population of Sonafang, a neighbourhood in Kumba I was on June 10 gripped by fear and panic when mysterious bees surrounded the residence of Barrister Verine Ekole. a former Mayor of Mundemba council.
Reports hold that Barrister Verine Ekole discovered a beehive outside his building during the early hours of Friday, June 9.  He decided to ignore the unwelcomed guests and left for work while hoping that the bees will be gone by the time she came back home.
This was not to be as the bees rather made themselves comfortable extending their physical presence to other parts of the house.  Despite personal rudimentary attempts by the Barrister to get rid of the bees, they stayed throughout the night while giving their unwilling host multiple complimentary stings.
Barrister Ekole later alerted the Army Rescue Unit, who swiftly intervened and for close to an hour finally brought the situation under control by use of insecticides.
This is the first time the Kumba Army Recue Unit has been called in for such an operation which many consider very unconventional.
My observers wondered in bewilderment why bees will leave the comfort of the surrounding bushes to settle in someone’s home.
