Public Works’ newly appointed officials tasked to team up for good results

Over 200 newly appointed officials of the Ministry of Public Works have been tasked to work as a team with other collaborators in order to help Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi and the Secretary of State to the Minister, Armand Ndjodom attain the objectives assigned to them by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya.
Commissioning the newly appointed officials into their functions during a solemn ceremony last August 22, 2019 at Amphi 300 of the National Advanced School of Public Works in Yaounde, the Secretary of State while congratulating them on behalf of the Minister, challenged them to make sure they are guided in their new tasks by loyalty, professional consciousness, administrative orthodoxy, the sense of evaluation and innovation, the right to be reserved, respect of hierarchy and republican values, transparency in the management of funds placed at their disposal etc.
Through these appointments, the Secretary of State explained, the ministry wants not only to reduce less productive routine practices but also to restore an efficient managerial practice that federates energies towards a common goal, that is, a well done team work as key to success for the ministry at the centre of the development of Cameroon.
The Chief of Services, Bureau Heads and their assistants in the central services of the Ministry of Public Works were appointed with approval from the Prime Minister, Head of Government by Arretes N°52/MINTP and N°53/MINTP of 16 August 2019, N°55/MINTP and N°56/MINTP of 19 August 2019 and by Decision N°200 /MINTP of August 20, 2019.
The installation of these officials in addition to that of other high ranking officials and sub directors months back is geared towards injecting new blood into the ministry in line with decree N°2018/461 of August 7, 2019 reorganizing the ministry for better results in the “Greater Opportunities” mandate of President Paul Biya.
