Saving Grace Foundation donates didactic materials to school children

As preparations for the coming school year draws closer, Saving Grace Foundation Limbe, a non-governmental organisation, on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Holy Family Parish Catholic Church New Town doled out didactic materials including   school bags, books, pens, pencils, rulers, eraser among others to assist over 100 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, and underprivileged school children for back-to-school 2024/ 2025 school year.

Speaking during the event, the president of Saving Grace Foundation, Barrister Nji Fobah Frida, said this year marks the third edition of their outreach programme to orphans, IDPs and less privileged children in the community who are really in need.

“We’re here today to promote education and the development of the society. By so doing, we ensure that the children have adequate didactic material for next school year.”

“We’re so excited that we’re giving back to our community thereby encouraging development”, Barrister Nji Frida said. She urged the beneficiaries to be handworking, committed and determined in their various schools so as to succeed in both their internal and external examinations.

Barrister Nji cautioned them against vandalism, infighting, alcoholism and drug consumption. She pressed for obedience and respect for norms and obligations of their academic institutions in order to guarantee a bright future.

Another member of the group, Juliette Nwaneri said their main aim is to reach out to orphans, IDPs and the less privileged in the community. She added that it is their own small way to give back to the community.

She prayed for success as the schoolchildren begin the 2024/2025 academic year on September 9, 2024.

In reaction to the goodwill gesture, the beneficiaries appreciated the members of Saving Grace Foundation whose didactic material assistance will ease their school resumption amidst hard times.  They promised to be hard-working in school in order to merit more gifts.
