Senator Ngam budgets FCFA 3million to combat COVID-19 in Boyo

The member of the upper house of Parliament from Boyo Division in the North West Region, Senator Honore Ajuo Ngam has allocated FCFA three (3) million to fight against the spread of coronavirus in the Division.
According to the Senator, the initiative known as “Boyo-free Coronavirus Plan” makes available the amount to assist local authorities and the population in general, in their struggles to ward off the ravaging infection.

Out of the financial package allocated, FCFA one million will be donated to the four Councils of Boyo to boost their efforts in the fight against the deadly pandemic.
The Plan also earmarks the sum of FCFA 1.5 million to be used for the production and distribution of over 1000 face masks across the Division, alongside sensitisation materials and laundry soaps to encourage hand-washing in the communities. The rest of the money, The SUN gathered will be used to mobilise and facilitate the work of community youth volunteers who are expected to carry the awareness campaign messages to every doorstep in the four municipalities of the Division.
To ease the assimilation of the messages, the Plan earmarks the translation of sensitisation gadgets into the different local languages spoken across Boyo.
Aside this financial package destined for his native Division, Senator Ngam has equally donated FCFA 500,000 through the Senate to the Special Solidarity Fund initiated on March 31, 2020 by the Head of State.
Boyo Division has four sub divisions including Fundong, Bum, Njinikom and Belo.
