The inauguration ceremony that was broadly attended by economic operators, the Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Achille Bassilekin, Mecam, Gicam, the French Ambassador, the Government Delegate of the Douala City Council and others, is said to be the very first of its kind in Central Africa.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Small and Meduim-Sized Entreprises said the branch is to finance the needs of the enterprise, to favour its extension and to develop its base for good management because SMEs are an irreversible structure for the creation of riches and the fight against poverty. Therefore, he continued, this is a refueling station for the consolidation of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Minister of SMEs then implored all stakeholders, those lacking financing of their projects, to make good use of the opportunity.
