The SUN’s Wasso Norbert is new CMA New Town, Limbe branch president

In an election that took place recently for the reorganization of Catholic Men’s Association of the Holy Family Parish, The Sun’s Managing Editor, Wasso Norbert Binde was elected president for the New Town branch in a nine-man executive bureau. He takes over from Angu Charles who picks up the same function at the parish level.
Speaking to The SUN after his election, Wasso Norbert said he accepts this decision to serve in Gods vineyard with much humility and high expectations for God’s direction and wisdom to shepherd his people and bring more souls to the body of Christ. He however, underscored that his new responsibility comes with a lot of sacrifice. “The task is truly daunting but I look up to God, the source of all wisdom”, Wasso added

Wasso Norbert will be adding his new title to that of Vice Chairperson of the Harvest Committee, a position he has holding for two years now. Asked if this is a sign of trust from his church members, he said “the voice of men is the voice of God, it is God’s call to serve in his vineyard. It is not easy to get along but to think that anything you do in the Lord’s vineyard, you have the protection and blessings of the Almighty who is going to give us the vision, inspiration, commitment, dedication and all it takes to complete this task.”
The CMA is an Apostolate group in the ‘Mother Church’, the Catholic Church with the mission to reach out God’s words to mankind, wining souls for Christ through charitable works, evangelism and constantly supporting the church. Membership into the CMA is strictly for men in the church who are communicants and are 18 years old and above. The driving force of this association is embedded in its motto which states: ‘Service to God, the Church and Humanity’.
The new president together with other members of his executive comprising; Dekana Emmanuel(Vice President), Luma Samuel, Fonge Daniel(Secretaries General 1&2), Egbe Wilson(Treasurer), Wancham Moses(Financial Secretary), Ndikum Denis(Publicity Secretary), Angu Charles and Babila George(advisers) have as first task to organize and host the parish meeting of the association which is scheduled for May 21, 2017.
They are equally expected to raise membership of the New Town branch, support the church financially, spiritually and morally. Also, they have as to uphold the legacy of their predecessor especially periodic visits to the sick, poor and needy and donation of Christian literatures to other church members out of the association. As well as build a strong moral standing before the people of God.
The Sun equally caught up with Mr Wancham Moses, Financial Secretary-elect, who said who expressed his great joy to work for God in that capacity. “I believe those who elected me were led by God to do so, I am happy to have been called to serve in the Lord’s house’, Moses added.
This new executive has a three-year mandate which is renewable once.
