Elites of Meme Division under the umbrella of the Southwest Elite Association, SWELA has called on Les Brasseries du Cameroun to recruit more Anglophone youths into their company in order to appease them during this crisis and to reduce the employment difference between Anglophone and Francophone youths.
The Assistant Secretary General of the association, Daniel Nasako Molondo made the plea on Friday March 24, 2018 at Les Brasseries du Cameroun deport in Kumba after awarding a certificate of recognition to the Chief of Service In Charge of Commercial in Kumba.
According to the Assistant Secretary General, Les Brasseries du Cameroun is the third mother company in the country that is making sure that youths are employed but the population of Meme and Anglophones in general are yet to feel their presence.
He called on the hierarchy to recruit more Anglophones so that they can feel that they are part and parcel of the company like their Francophone brothers.
‘We hope that more Anglophones children will be employed in your company so that our angry Anglophone children who feel cheated by their Francophone counterparts will have no problem again’, Nasako noted.
He furthered that such innovations should be implemented in every company in the country and not just Les Brasseries du Cameroun.
Reacting to this, the Chief of Service In Charge of Commercial, Evelyn Tchinda Ngwe Tita disclosed that the issue raised by SWELA officials is already in line with the strategy of the company. She noted that the General Manager in a recent meeting held said there is a need to increase the number of Anglophones in the company.
She said that the measure is not new to the company and will be implemented gradually. The Chief of Service for Kumba branch called on youths to endeavour to apply for job openings in the company so as to stand the chance of getting employed.
