We touched many lives – Hon. Etombi Ikome

Honourable Etombi Ikome Gladys, incumbent Member of Parliament MP for the Fako East constituency (Limbe, Tiko, Muyuka) has said she remains proud of the many lives she was able to touch during her first mandate. The MP was speaking to the press on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, as she presented her manifesto for the upcoming elections.
Listing various community outreaches which brought smiles to the faces of women, youth, the elderly, students etc, such as treatment of women with fistula, Agricultural outreach to over 500 farmers with tools distributed to farmers, sport programmes, sponsoring educational quiz on radio, renovation of the Regional Hospital Mile I, equipment of health centre with benches, scholarship and equally trained over 200 youths on ICT etc, Hon Etombi said she is happy that the Fako East people themselves know what an MP she has been to them, reason why they have urged her to go for a second mandate, a call she has humbly accepted.
She said she was extremely satisfied that her functional office was frequently visited as well as her initiatives were geared towards all in her constituency, irrespective of their party leanings, for she is an MP for all.
Hon. Etombi Ikome who has shown beyond reasonable doubt her integrity in her last mandate, nonetheless was frank enough to admit that much still needs to be done in a large and complex constituency like Fako East, reason why it is necessary for her to continue the work she started in 2013. She is urging her electorate to count on her experience and throw their weight behind her, as she is capable of delivering the goods, as has been observed by many in her constituency.
“Voting Etombi Ikome Gladys under the CPDM canopy will be voting wisely and it will bring our community to higher height.”
