Zixtech has offered an opportunity for two startups in Fako division to represent the organization in a startup event in Nigeria for a 10,000 dollars investment. The two entrepreneurs are Nemoh Siona Ndip, CEO/Co-founder of Yumzie Snails and Nyomi Blaise, CEO/founder of Trans Delivery limited.
This was disclosed by the CEO of Zixtech, Paul Mbua, on Saturday November 24, during a pitch by the two startups at Zixtech office in Isokolo, ahead of the event in Nigeria.
Mbua said the chosen ones, who are part of Zixtech Hub, have shown great devotion totheir work and willingness to grow in their businesses.
He said he was encouraged by their pitch which shows they have done a lot of work in their businesses, though there are areas where they still have to improve on.
Paul Mbua said if the entrepreneurs succeed in the pitch in Nigeria, it will help them take their businesses to another level and they will have a chance of getting up to 40million investment from other investors who might be interested in their ideas and potentials.
According to him, the startups will also get to meet strategic partners and other investors which will help expose them to the world. He added that no matter the outcome however, it is still a big move by the youths to embrace their skills and pursue them.
After the pitch by the two startups and debates, the two entrepreneurs expressed their joy for being selected and their aspirations for their trip to Nigeria. According to Nemoh Siona Ndip CEO/Co-founder of Yumzie Snails, she feels excited with her pitch, taking into consideration that it is her first time to do a pitch and there were some lapses.
“I think Zixtech Hub is a diversified entrepreneurial platform where youths showcase their talents and ideas. Zixtech is pushing and teaching youths what they ought to be and equally exposing them to the world for big investments”, she said.
On his part, the CEO/founder of Trans Delivery limited, Nyomi Blaise said the pitch was an amazing experience for him and it is something he encourages every startup to go through because it pushes them to work harder. He called on entrepreneurs to join Zixtech Hub for better opportunities.
The CEO of Zixtech mentioned that the organization has been able to train over 5000 people since its creation and through them, 50 companies or enterprises have been created in the country.
Paul Mbua therefore called on youths to follow their dreams and wipe the fact of entrepreneurship being a taboo topic in their minds. He said anyone can be an entrepreneur and just need training to handle issues and how to face challenges.
Zixtech is an organization that started in 2009 and has as aim to build the capacities of people especially youths in skills development, entrepreneurship, digital marketing as well as leadership skills. The founder Paul Mbua, believes these elements are what Cameroonian youths need.
