Ambazonian ‘warlords’ in Meme who were extended an olive branch by the Meme Senior Divisional Officer, SDO Chamberlin Ntou’ou Ndong to be part of Meme Divisional consultative discourse ahead of the National Dialogue didn’t show up at the groundbreaking gathering that took place at the Kumba City Council chambers on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
According to a Press Release No G39/ 226 of 19/09/2019, endorsed by the Meme SDO and communicated several times in all the local radio stations in Kumba , Chief town of Meme Division, the Meme boss invited the following suspected Ambazonian ‘warlords’: Obase Ekeku of Dieni village, Mokube Mbamene alias boss Divine of Marumba village in Mbonge Sub Division respectively, Musango Mukete alias Buscard of Malende village, Fang of Teke village, Bita cola of Metta quarters and Sam of Small Ekombe village.
Though they boycotted the consultative talks, two alleged Ambazonian ‘warlords’ whom the SDO described as the representative of their leaders officially invited, presented themselves as having laid down their arms and are ready for the dialogue. Though they didn’t disclose their identities, they told anxious press men that they have gone through pains for the pass two years and have equally committed serious atrocities. Just like the prodigal son, they hinted that they are now changed persons and are fully ready to go back to school after having dropped out as science students.
