At Press Confab:              Osih unveils rescue plan for Cameroon

The National Chairman of opposition party, Social Democratic Front (SDF party) and Presidential Candidate for the October 12, 2025 election in Cameroon, Hon. Joshua Osih has enumerated five axis to redress Cameroon in the new Republic, once voted into office, next October 12, 2025.

The SDF National Chairman explained that “1; disruptive measures to be taken on Day 1, 2; 100 days to end the violence in the North West and South West regions, 3; One year to safeguard national unity and restore dignity to the peoples of the Grand North, 4; Three years to rebuild national cohesion through institutional refoundation and 5; One mandate to rescue the people through the socio-economic transformation of the country.”

Osih was speaking during a press conference he granted August 19, 2025  at the SDF Centre Regional Secretariat at Olezoa in Yaoundé.

The SDF Presidential Candidate used the press conference to present his socio-economic and political blueprint ahead of the forthcoming election.

Hon Joshua Osih promised to rescue from autocracy, chaos, citizens from precarity and inequality, from unemployment, blackouts and water shortages, from failing health system, children from alienation, Cameroon from underdevelopment, Cameroon from cultural neglect and environmental indifference and Cameroon from its digital gap.”

He told the press that, “Cameroon will not be condemned to collapse. What we need is a clear social contract, institutions that are accountable and economic strategy that create value here by our talents and for our territories. That is the meaning of our project to return power to the people, secure peace and deliver measurable results in our daily life.”

The SDF National Chairman concluded that “on October 12, 2025, I seek your trust to turn the page of our blocked future and open the chapter of our transformation, with you and with all our regions united in our diversity, we will build a Cameroon that is just, prosperous and proud. Let us move forward together.”

He reassured the public that “I will win this election with or without the others. I am in this race for a systemic change.”

Hon Joshua Osih disclosed that the SDF is mobilising close to 65 000 polling agents to cover all polling stations in the October 12 polls.
