My constituency does not exist any longer because the boys who have now become ‘Amba’ soldiers are at war with Cameroon Defense Forces since President Biya declared war as his own solution to the Anglophone crisis. People have been killed and houses burnt down. It is now very frightful to live within my constituency. The regime has failed to propose an alternative solution that could at least comfort the warring factions to think that they could keep down their weapons because there is something promising.
This unfortunate situation has gone out of hand and political parties are no longer secured to hold any meeting in the North West and South West regions.
My constituency no longer exists because of the Anglophone crisis
It is worsen by the fact that instead of going in for lasting solutions to end the Anglophone crisis, Mr Biya always goes in for superficial ones that produces very little or no impact on the ground such as the upcoming putting in place of a regional council. I say so because, the Regional Council unlike the National Assembly, will have no legislative power as it will rather be supervised by the Executive Arm of government, that is, the governor or the representative of the state, implying that whatever deliberations made, will have to be approved by a supervisory authority.
