- Assist children with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, toilet training, etc.).
- Ensure children practice proper hygiene (bathing, brushing teeth, hand washing).
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks
- Help with toilet training and diaper changes for younger children.
- Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of children and report management concerns.
- Assist children with homework and learning activities.
- Support preschool and school attendance and performance.
- Keep children’s living and play areas clean and organized.
- Wash and fold children’s clothes and bedding.
- Buying of foodstuffs.
- Report any incidents, illnesses, or behavioral concerns promptly to supervisors.
- Work with other staff members and volunteers as a team.
- Participate in meetings, training, and workshops as required.
- Communicate regularly with orphanage management and social workers.
- Ensure a safe environment free from hazards.
- Supervise play and recreational activities to prevent accidents.
- Be alert to signs of abuse or neglect and report according to protocol.
