A public-private partnership contract for the modernisation and digitalisation of the production facilities of the National Printing Press of Cameroon was signed last November 28, 2025 at the auditorium of the Ministry of Communication in Yaoundé, under the supervision of Communication Minister and Government Spokesperson, Rene Emmanuel Sadi.

Cameroon Communication boss said the ceremony is one of the first in the new 7-year mandate of the President of the Republic, H.E Paul Biya.
He announced that once the project is completed, that will also mark an end to the struggling efforts of workers of the National Printing Press in Cameroon.
Minister Sadi Rene declared that, ‘‘I want to say since the coming of this DG and the Board Chair, I have been having enough sleep because workers do not disturb me any longer with their precarious situation.’’
The Director General of the National Printing Press, Oyono Bika Pierre Nolasque signed for his institution while the President Director General of Impact Palmares R&B SAS, Tella Giresse signed for his structure.
Oyono Bika Pierre Nolasque said, ‘‘it is a historic day for the National Printing Press of Cameroon. Historic because our institution, one of the oldest administrative heritage of the German era, has today a new page in its history. Since its creation in 1906 in Buea, it has gone through eras, regimes and dictations, sometimes in fragility, often in resilience. For many years, some could believe that our institution no longer had a future, others thought that it would one day be privatised and dissolved.’’
He said thanks to the vision of this extraordinary man, President of the Republic, H.E. Paul Biya, the National Printing Press has never ceased to be a public institution, a strategic guardian of official documents, state archives and sensitive positions in the Republic, despite the difficulties of the progressive obsolescence of its publishing tool.’’
The DG of the National Printing Press explained that ‘‘resulting from the decree of November 8, 2023, it was declared the exclusive entity of the State in the context of the imposition of the normalisation and the implementation of the requirements of State sovereignty and security. Despite the exclusivity of which it benefits from the founding texts, it, however, will escape the normalisation reality by permanent and increasingly demanding implementation.’’
Tella Giresse demonstrated how secured the Cameroonian documents will henceforth be once the modernisation and digitalisation project is completed.
